Sprotin uses Quickpay for all financial transactions on www.sprotin.fo. In cooperation with Nets, Quickpay guarantees that your credit or debit card data is encrypted and sent directly to the relevant financial institution via a secure connection (SSL). Sprotin has no access to your credit or debit card data.
You can pay with the following credit and debit cards: Dankort/Visa-Dankort, Visa, Visa-Elektron, EuroCard/MasterCard, JCB and American Express.
Methods of payment:
Normal purchase: You enter your card number, security code and expiration date. There is no extra fee for using a credit or debit card.
Subscription purchase: You enter your card number, security code and expiration date on your first purchase. Your card details are kept by Quickpay (see sect. 3 above). You grant Quickpay to withdraw the agreed amount from your card for the duration of your subscription. If your card expires or is annulled, payment is stopped and your subscription is not renewed, except if you make a new subscription. If you wish to cancel your subscription, you can cancel your purchases in “Your Account.” All card data will be erased. There is no extra fee for using a credit or debit card.
You can make your purchases on Sprotin with the currency of your choice. You may choose your currency at the bottom of the website. The transaction itself is nevertheless always made in DKK.
Sales tax is added to all purchases except for physical books and dictionary subscriptions. Prices may change without prior notice. Upon your purchase, a receipt will be sent to your e-mail address, which includes information on the purchase and a link to “Your Account.”
Dictonary subscriptions become active immediately upon purchase.
Digital products, such as e-books (EPUB) and audiobooks (MP3) are made available in “Your Account” immediately upon purchase.
Other goods, such as books, can be collected at Bókamiðsølan (a Faroese book distributor) or will be sent by mail and current postage and handling charges will be added. Shipping costs will be added to the price of the goods purchased. Click here for more information on delivery charges. We cannot guarantee against delays in Posta’s (The Faroese Post Office’s) deliveries, as we have no influence on delivery times.
NOTE! When orders are sent to countries outside the EU, taxes and other duty charges may be added. Sprotin claims no responsibility for such charges. Taxes and other duty charges are at times paid by the transportation company, which in return charges the customer.
If the products are damaged, you are requested to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call +298 258600 and a replacement for the damaged goods will be sent to you.
It is illegal, according to copyright laws and statutes, to copy digital material. The digital goods in Sprotin are protected with a watermark. This means that an invisible mark has been placed in the e-book or audiobook, which contains your order number and name. If the material is misused, this mark is used to identify you. It is your responsibility that people, other than yourself, do not gain access to your digital material. If your digital goods are found where files are illegally shared with others or illegally downloaded, it is possible to find your order number and name, and you are held responsible for the illegal copying.
Using e-books, audiobooks, etc. bought on sprotin.fo requires the user to have access to certain equipment and programmes. These programmes and tools may also need to be updated periodically. These requirements may determine whether you are able to use the product you have purchased. You recognise and understand that such system requirements are your responsibility.
