The son
of an American millionaire, traveling on a trans-atlantic luxury liner falls
over board into the wild seas of Grand Bank. A fisherman, in a small dory,
picks him up and saves him.
The lad
is not returned to shore, and no matter how much he tries to tell them of his
wealth, no one believes him.
He
becomes one of the crew, must pull his share, and the men raise him, make him
into a man. Here are no velvet gloves and the spoiled youngster must stand the
test, learn to toughen up and adjust to the merciless life at sea. He makes his
first steps into real manhood.
The story
never relents but rolls from one event to another through swells of male
humour.
