The play Stovugenturnar (The Maids) was written in 1947 and is about two maids who revolt
against the lady of the house.
The play
narrates their dream of killing her.
In turn
they depict the lady from both sides of the social divide. The two maids, who
also are sisters, take turns in playing the part of servant and mistress.
