The
Little Horse is an exciting and contemporary novel about the five final days in
the life of Snorri Sturlusson. He is waiting for Margreta, his great love, who
is a challenge in all aspects of his life. He is burdened by a worry for his
son who he fears will take revenge on him. The poet tries to write a story
about his own life where he is planning to object to his opponents in Norway
and Iceland. He begins to defend himself against the rumours that he lusts for
power and is a deceitful womaniser.

September in 1241 the chieftain Snorri Sturlosson was killed on his own farm
Reykholt, where he lived during the final years of his life. Also in his own
time he was recognized as a great poet and historian but also as someone
leaning towards women, and one who had political power and a good fortune.
